If you were ever considering a purchase / investment in a sunbelt destination as part of your real estate portfolio, now might be the time to check out opportunities in the U.S. southwest. Real estate prices in Arizona, California and Nevada have slid back to or below 2002 levels (pre-boom) and experts suggest there could still be another 10% to 15% slide before things bottom out. It is definitely a Buyers market, thanks to foreclosures and an ever-increasing inventory of bank-owned properties.
